Morning Cup

My school teacher daughter discovered the joys of Starbucks recently, so I just had to make this for her.  (I hear the teachers in the English department take turns making Starbucks runs.)  :-)

She's back in the classroom this week getting things ready for when the high school hooligans students return next week.

See that cool swirl up the side of the card?  I used the leftover piece from when I cut the swirl for this card, like a stencil.  Using a sponge dauber, I "stenciled" some VersaMark ink along the edge.  It looked pretty good as a watermark, but I thought it would stand out more if it was heat embossed with clear EP.  Kind of reminiscent of a steam swirl, don't you think?

Cindy, this card is the bomb. I use ALL my scraps in one place or another, and my gal pals poke fun at me all the time.
I've used the two part bird punch as a template to sponge the bird on the inside of my cards, but never thought about embossing something. I love this coffee set and I LOVE your swirls. Too cool.

The swirl is awesome! I love the sentiment, too, on the left. My symmetrical self doesn't think of stuff like that! Coffee is critical to a successful day of teaching!

Super cute! I LOVE that swirl. It's goes perfectly with this set. And the lace is so pretty. I still need to get me some of that.

I wish my freshman son had your daughter as his English teacher. So far, that's the only class he dislikes. A good teacher makes ALL the difference!!
